The ECITB is a UK training and qualifications organisation that works extensively with all the large UK and international contractors working in the UK. We are a one-stop-shop for Skills and Competency in the Engineering Construction Industry. We have developed and own the UK occupational and training standards associated with sixteen craft and technician disciplines and five management disciplines. We have developed and own the training materials and internationally accredited qualifications associated with these disciplines.
In addition, we run an ECITB safety passport system that has over 150,000 members in the UK alone. This safety passport consists of a training course with an exam that provides the successful delegate with an internationally recognized Safety Passport that allows access to Engineering Construction Sites.
We are seeking international franchise partners for the training and qualifications associated with these disciplines.
We will work with established training providers in local markets who provide a service that upskills indigenous people and provides internationally recognized qualifications for local and international company staff and recruits. This offer would allow a training provider to access the complete suite of materials to run up to 16 different apprenticeship programmes for new entrants and unlimited upskilling programmes for existing staff in the same disciplines in addition to the Safety Passport scheme. Our commercial proposition is very flexible, but based upon the accreditation of a local training provider for the delivery of some or all of the ECITB programmes and qualifications.
The fee structure is as follows; For an existing training provider with an established infrastructure;· Initial registration fee for the Training Provider that includes the first year accreditation and approval fee. ·Registration fee per candidate for training and assessment.·
Annual accreditation and approval fee for the training provider.
For a training centre that does not have an established infrastructure for the delivery of training and assessment of competency consultancy services are available to assist in the development of such a facility.

The ECITB has comprehensive training material associated with each of the disciplines identified above for both on-the-job and off-the-job phases of the training programme. The material is in English and can be translated into other languages as required. It includes; coach and trainer material, learner material, assessment material and log books (physical or electronic) to maintain evidence of achievement. The training material directly maps across to the Vocational Qualification (VQ) requirements. The ECITB will award the VQ either through its own Awarding Body or through an in-country approved third party.
