Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ) is the UK?s leading health and fitness specific awarding body. We develop and award health and fitness qualifications that are delivered through a range of institutions including private training providers, universities, colleges and schools. There are nearly 300 centres delivering CYQ qualifications within the UK and internationally, including in the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, India and a number of European countries.
CYQ offers over 37 recognised and respected qualifications, from introductory to advanced levels, including the UK's only recognised qualification in Exercise Referral.
Beyond qualifications, CYQ is the official accreditation unit for the European Health and Fitness Association (EHFA),quality assuring standards of fitness qualifications of participating training providers across Europe. CYQ is also the verifier of the Fitness Industry Association's (FIA) Code of Practice.
